A Performance to Remember

In 1963, pop singer Andy Williams sang the joyous and legendary tune “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” Now 56 years later, this sentiment still bodes true- at least in Memorial High School it does. While the ceilings plastered with multi-colored paper cut outs such as golden stars and green reefs, and walls covered in becoming posters celebrating diverse holidays are all components of the school’s spirit, it is the Memorial Voices of Gold and Memorial Men that have really helped hammer in the school’s sense of festivity.

At 2:15, a gaggle of lucky teachers and students were fortunate enough to attend an impromptu concert from Memorial’s Voices of Gold and the Memorial Men. This performance featured a variety of holiday classics, and lasted about ten minutes. This came after an energetic and spectacular show the night prior, in which the Memorial choir joined the other fine arts to put on a glamorous and talent-heavy Holiday\ Showcase.

The impending two weeks off of school is sure to come as a well-deserved relief for Voices of Gold, who have worked tirelessly the past few weeks on perfecting their song pieces. And as the final few days of the semester comes to a close, we here at Memorial Media Production Team would like to wish you a very happy (and hopefully stress-free) holidays!
