Memorial Basketball faces Narrow Loss Against Wakeland

On Tuesday the 26th Memorial Boys Varsity Basketball was defeated by Wakeland 83-77.

While both teams were scoring well throughout the game, Wakeland was a few points ahead each quarter, making for a close game. This brings Memorial’s win percentage to .571 or roughly half.

Memorial scored 16 points each quarter on average, while Wakeland edged ahead with 18 points per quarter on average. While Wakeland was better at scoring overall Memorial’s defense was stronger, with 6 blocks compared to just 1. Wakeland was much better with assists, however, with 34 compared to Memorials 26.

Memorial will be playing a second home game next, up against Independence High School on the 29th this Friday.
