Emmeline Pankhurst, born July 14, 1858 was a political activist best known for her founding of the Women’s Social and Political Union where women fought for their right to vote.

In one speech ‘On the Dock’ made by Emmeline where she talks about her daughter and women’s strained rights, she says ‘We are here not because we are lawbreakers; we are here in our efforts to become law-makers.

In the Union, females used militant tactics to agitate for women’s suffrage. It was founded in 1880 and the motto was ‘deeds not words’

“Trust in god- she will provide.” she said.
