An unhinged, narcissistic, practically incoherent comment from Donald Trump? Who has ever heard of such a thing? While he may have been given the boot from the Oval Office, and nearly every social media platform known to man, it appears nothing can stop the furious ramblings of Former President Donald Trump. In a newly released statement, Trump wasted no time in making his feelings about Medina Spirit, the horse who won the Kentucky Derby, apparent- and was promptly dragged by Twitter as a result.

Trump’s harsh rebuke of the race winner comes after the horse failed to pass a drug test. Bob Baffert, Medina Spirit’s trainer, revealed that a post-drug examination found traces of betamethasone, an illegal substance, detected. Baffert for one, expressed shock at the results, saying “Yesterday I got the biggest gut-punch in racing for something I didn’t do. It’s disturbing. It’s an injustice to the horse,” Raw Story cited him as saying.

Still barred from posting on both Twitter and Facebook, the former leader of the free world was relegated to just issuing another grammatically-tragic “Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States.” Trump started off the rant weird, by calling Medina Spirit- a horse- a junky, “So now even our Kentucky Derby winner, Medina Spirit, is a junky. This is emblematic of what is happening to our Country. The whole world is laughing at us as we go to hell on our Borders, our fake Presidential Election, and everywhere else!”

The clever folks at Twitter wasted no time before ripping Donald Trump apart over his odd choice of words. Aaron Rupar, a journalist for Vox, tweeted “Is he… is he aware Medina Spirit is a horse?” One person replied to Rupar’s tweet by saying “Sir this is a Wendy’s. Lmao.” Other people theorized about what Trump might have had in mind. “He thinks Medina Spirit bought drugs from Joe Biden at the border,” said one Twitter user.

Others were not as amused, worrying instead about what the continued publicity for Trump and his falsehoods could entail. Despite having incited a deadly insurrection in relation to spousing ‘The Big Lie,’ Trump continues to spread false claims on the nature of his 2020 election loss. “You gotta stop sharing this man’s words on here bro,” Exavier Pope, a lawyer, remarked in reply to Aaron Rupar’s tweet. Another user that goes by the Twitter handler ‘rsviar’ agreed, saying “This should be a no Trump zone.”

Since leaving the White House, Trump has taken to attacking a variety of events and people, ranging from the name of the Academy Awards, “Big Tech” and now apparently, a horse. The subject of his next meaningless fury is up to anyone to guess. Perhaps he’ll even find it in himself to be upset over the deaths over 582,000 Americans having died from Covid. Or maybe he’ll just stick to going after farm animals.
