60 visitors got snowed in at a UK Pub for 3 Days, and loved it

As the snow fell and the power lines were dampened,3 roads were covered and blocked by the snowstorm and the staff made beds for the people in the pub.

The pub is found in Swaledale and is the highest sitting pub above sea level in the UK. “They’re all in good spirits, they’re all eating and drinking well,” said co-owner of the Tan Hill Pub Andrew Hields, to CNN. The group hadgames, trivia, and sang Christmas carols for 3 days as no one could enter or leave.

Normally in a situation where being trapped is not ideal the group made the best of the experience that would be scary but this time around everyone had a good time.

Hill described it as a “life-changing experience,” calling the employees and the guests who came together under challenging circumstances, “Amazing people.” Another of the revelers, Becky Longthorp, wrote on Facebook,“You guys have been amazing! You’ve worked never ending shifts to keep us well fed and watered.”
